Rumors of a free upgrade or a discounted upgrade to Vista have been floating around the net for a few months now. Microsoft has finally made it official. Basically you need to buy a “Windows Vista Capable” machine to be eligible. If you buy a machine with media center you should get the Vista upgrade at no charge – but it depends on the retailer
